Newsletter — July 2010

Dear Friends of the Cellar,

Summer is here!!! At least we hope it is as we have certainly had enough of spring and the rain that goes with it. Many of the wines we will taste this month are ideal for that back yard outing, picnic in the park or for Tuesday evening.

Wine tastings every Friday 5-8pm.
15% off case orders.
Ten great wines available by the taste or glass daily.
Special orders given special attention.

Till next time, Gene & Janice

Upcoming Tastings — July 2010

Fridays from 5 to 8 pm

Wines of Tuscany, Italy including Chianti Classico
July 2 & 3 — Tasting fee $15
The largest variety of Italian wines are produced in Tuscany. Many well balanced, ready to drink wines as well as wine for the long haul. Some need 15 to 20 years to reach their pinnacle. We will concentrate on ready to drink wines.

Affordable Red Wines of Bordeaux, France
July 9 & 10 — Tasting fee $15
There are many affordable wines of the 05, 06, 07 vintages that are well made. We have an opportunity to taste some of each and decide which we like best.

Blind tasting of six varietal Wines with Prizes for naming five
July 16 & 17 — Tasting fee $15
Test your wine tasting skill with an opportunity to win a prize!

Red and White Wines of the Rhone Valley, France
July 23 & 24 — Tasting fee $15
Rhone Valley is noted for their many red wines from Cotes du Rhone to Hermitage but not as well known for the outstanding white wines. We will try both.

Comparison of Washington and California Cabernet Sauvignon

We wish we could do this tasting blind as we believe many people would be surprised at the quality of Washington wines. Please tell us your preference.
